What great shots, Parul. Look forward to more of Hampi on your blog. By the way, my next trip to Karnataka is all about Chalukya and Vijayanagara trail. Hampi, Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal and who knows where else! Well, it is not really planned as such, but it is in my mind for sure 🙂

Agree with your colleague. There is never a perfect time to do anything and get away from this crazy world. To get away from it, sometimes we really just have to pull away and walk the other direction. Wonderful shots of Hampi so far. Very scenic and I really like the one of the sun rising.

Happy traveling and sounds like you are enjoying yourselves so far 🙂

Should be on everyone’s bucket list, methinks. I was lucky to work in Harihar, and visited Hampi a few times-each visit was memorable.

Wow! That’s interesting! I am looking forward to your series on Hampi! Did a road trip almost a year back with family and loved it, despite the soaring mercury levels! A must-visit, this place!

[…] Hampi had been on my travel list for a long time and this year we were fortunate to call it our first road trip of the year. A UNESCO world heritage site and the ruins had many stories to tell. My heart was hungry for more and I was willing to push ourselves to see more monuments on the last day. […]
