International Blog Delurking Week – 2017

International Blog Delurking Week 2017

If you just read hetysbhaplckqu some junk, I know you are visiting this blog and you are with me. To put it simply, you are a reader of this blog and you read what I write. Sometimes what you read or see, makes you smile. You talk about it with your friends or family. If you really like what you read, you go on and share on social media and I get to know. You may also drop a line or click ‘like’ to acknowledge what you read on the Facebook post.

But most of the times, I don’t know you stopped by. The stats and comments never tally up. I know only those who show their presence but I know there are others too. Those are the people, I don’t even get an opportunity to thank for their time on my little space.

So like last year, I am asking you to not just leave once you finish reading this post but let me know that you were here. Use the comment box below and say something. A hello, I was here, I like to read what you write, you are awesome like me – practically anything you like.

If you are someone who loves to go the extra mile, tell me one thing that you would like to see more on this blog.

I am celebrating International Blog Delurking Week with Mel. This one is an ancient tradition and a simple way to encourage bloggers.

When you stop by to comment, I will be able to match up how many people are actually reading this post. Once a year, that’s how I get to know who my real readers are.

Just a simple way to make me happy. You would like that, won’t you?

  2. I am guilty of lurking too, yes. But you already know me (not that it is an excuse), and I have said this before, but it bears repetition – you are awesome, and your posts do brighten my day. 🙂

  3. I’ve been guilty of lurking around almost everyday in 2016, just randomly reading posts, rarely leaving comments, just liking posts and running away.

I hope to change all of that this year, as I have finally managed to push it into my tiny little brain, that commenting is more than just sharing an opinion, it’s about initiating a conversation with the person behind the screen, and making sure there’s a human touch too.

It’s a pretty cool initiative, Parul. And because you asked, I’d like to read more of your women-centric posts, and posts that include a lot of facts. You have this way of writing which doesn’t even make the person notice that they’re reading boring facts! 🙂

  9. Parul!! I read your post yesterday and waited till today to leave a comment– perhaps the longest time anyone has lurked around on ONE post in the history of lurking.
Even though I kick started 2017 with starry blogging dreams I couldn’t write for the past few days because I was so bogged down by you know what.
I didn’t want my first post to be an angry rant .. and then I read your post and everything fell in place.
so I wrote too .. which by now you know!

I am an ex lurker — who is trying hard to make amends. on your blog though I always leave a note. I like your Gratitude lists a lot and loved the entire AtoZ theme you did centered on women.

Have a fantastic and fulfilling 2017!
