#MicroblogMondays – And I am home

  1. I got back from a road trip around the same time. I dropped off my daughter at college and watched the eclipse that was visible from the western US. It was a long drive, and I feel like I want to stay put for a while now!

Welcome back home, i meant the home home and your blogging home.
After a vacation, I am in that mood and I am sort of lazy to go back to anywhere that reminds me of reality! 😉
So I always want vacations after vacations! 😀

    Welcome back, you 🙂

After a vacation, I always come back home in Zen mode. Nothing bothers me and I take my own time to get used to getting back to the grind. Usually I let the vacation mode linger for a week atleast.

Parul, I love going on vacations. Recently, I traveled to LEH-LADAKH, it was a solo trip for me, my first one 🙂 I had a great time but when I got back it was a different feeling altogether. I was happy to be back, relieved to not have fallen sick while out there alone, thrilled to have conquered my fears though I missed the beauty of the hills. I want to go away to a new destination soon 🙂

Happy to know that you’re back and happier about the fact that we will be hearing more about the travel tales 🙂 Writing your day way, covering the distance and jotting the names of the places where you stayed sounds like a wonderful thing to do… May be I too will maintain my small notebook next time!

  6. Welcome back Parul, The blogging world has missed your absence. Glad it was a memorable trip and you are back safe.

I recently wrote about how a hectic vacation demanded another relaxed vacation with no concrete plans 🙂

It depends on the break. If I plan it well, I can come home seamlessly like that. If I don’t plan it well, it feels like all the relaxation floats out the door.

    Welcome back!

Sometimes I feel more tired after vacation. All that traveling around and going from place to place can tire me out no matter how slow I go – and I think that’s because my mind likes to work fast to take in as much things as possible 😀 Hope you get some rest after your trip and don’t stress yourself out at work. Take care and looking forward to hearing about your trip 🙂

  12. I’m glad you feel like this after a holiday: it’s the ideal way to feel! Unfortunately I felt the opposite after my holiday this year. Two weeks in a different house, a lovely historic building in a small medieval hilltown, with a new, leisurely routine – when I came back to reality and daily full-time work I was severely depressed. Obviously this means that changes need to be made…. I think that when you can say what you have said in this piece, then you are truly content!

Hello Parul. Thanks for visiting Still Waters and your comment.
That feeling of arriving home, dropping the suitcases and using your own loo is really special. Nothing beats it – until the next time 😊 ~ Cathy

Home is where the heart is, Parul. So, wherever we may go, however much we enjoy new places and new people, it’s in our home that we find the most peace and happiness!

I am on the same boat.. my last two months was filled with vacations n stuff. I got chance to see some wonderful places in US but at the same time exhausted ( 3 trips back to back) I now want back my ME time. Don’t ask about the mess in my house 🙈 It will be there as usual.

  22. Aha! You live in a suitcase and I feel shuttling between places and traveling educating us a lot. Vacation can be very rejuvenating.
