“In order to write about life first you must live it.”–
Ernest Hemingway
I have travelled to see my parents after two long and tough years. So today, I am sharing with you a tree I spotted on my last leg of the journey home. This is a Neem tree by the side of state highway in far east Uttar Pradesh. From now on, I will make an honest attempt to share trees that show you a slice of my life. Can you do that too? I would love to know you more along with your trees.
Are you game with the idea? Let me know in comments below.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on November 25, 2021. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

I’m continuing my spring theme with my tree this week here – https://aseparatelife.wordpress.com/2021/10/28/a-spring-welcome/
I love your tree snapped on your return from visiting your parents. (I hope it went well.) And yes, I like the idea of including trees that show a snapshot of our lives – I try to do that anyway (because I don’t plan enough in advance! lol), but will try harder now too.

Thanks Mali. Secretly, I do that too 🙂

Beautiful Neem ka ped! They remain such an intrinsic part of our lives, isn’t it? Trust you made the most of the time spent with your parents, Parul!
So glad to be here after a long break. I was missing this space so much and the fact that I wasn’t posting for #thursdayTreeLove, so today, am back with a leaf from my travel diary. I love your idea of sharing tree photos that are part of your journey. Can’t wait to see what all you are going to share in the coming weeks. Best of luck with the blogging, dear.

How wonderful that you were able to see your parents – two long years is a long, long time. My post today is a small snapshot of what is happening not all that far from where I live. http://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2021/10/flooded-trees-thursdaytreelove.html

Two comments – I don’t know how to reach these posters directly. I tried to comment on Yen for Blue and it kept giving me error messages. Esha (who introduced me to this group): could you kindly check and see if my comment go to spam? I’m having problems again, it looks like, with certain WordPress blogs tagging me as a spammer. Appreciate it!

Apologies for my delayed response, Alana. I did receive your most recent comment on the #treelove post and there have been no issues at all. So, rest assured, everything is fine. 🙂
Also, hoping you are not facing problems with the other WordPress blogs anymore.

Beautiful Neem tree. I like the surroundings too. Hope you had a wonderful time with your parents, Parul.
I share tree pictures from around me which I feel is repetitive sometimes, and I stop myself from sharing, but definitely they are part of my life. Trying to be a regular here again. Wish you a fabulous weekend, Parul!

Never repetitive, Vinitha. Same tree is good too. Isn’t that all what love means ? thank you!

This looks like a scene from the Netflix series Panchayat. Neem trees are so typically part of the UP landscape.

That’s an excellent idea for sharing trees, Parul. I’m going to make a point of doing that for the next Thursday Tree Love, as a change of pace from just taking pictures in our yard. I wasn’t sure what to do next, now that the fall foliage is almost gone, so this is a great inspiration – thanks!
And I’m so glad to hear you were finally able to visit your parents!
Speaking of our yard, here is my contribution –

Eastern part of UP.. oh i miss that so much but unfortunately as my parents have moved to lucknow there is no going back! thanks for sharing this beautiful neem tree! this post reminded me of all the trees since my childhood- how we used to play around them, steal the ropes from the near by well and make swing out of it. This post also reminded me taht how we are not close to trees anymore… it’s been ages i guess that i’ve touched or sat around a tree… sob!!
I tried recalling which tree i can click and share but alas! couldn’t find anyone! but i’ll keep my search on and share!
