#ThursdayTreeLove – 120

Can you believe that today’s edition is the last of 2021? I was on the verge of skipping this one but when I realized that the next would be in 2022, I wanted to publish this one last post for 2021.

This tree caught my attention when we went for a drive to the nearby Hesaraghatta Lake in Bangalore, India. Against the backdrop of a setting Sun, the gorgeous sky and the lake – I loved this tree. Looking at it closely, I realized that this was Babool tree also known as Thorn Mimosa or Gum Arabic tree. It had shed the leaves due to the nip in the air but the thorns were strong and held fort.

All you tree lovers have kept me going in 2021. If you have noticed, my writing is down to once or twice a month and if not for Thursday Tree Love posts, this blog would have been dead. So here I am sharing my heartfelt gratitude with you all. You bring joy and trees into my dining room from where I write and publish these posts.

Folks like Angela, Archana, JoAnna, Chandra, Alana and Mali who have been around since the start of this blog hop and have been my stellar support. Folks who joined along the way like Traci, Lin, Teresa, Esha and Vinitha and then those who join on and off to add color and charm to our community – Divya, Siobhan, Ken, Arvind, Ramya, Cath, Liz, Soumya and Lily. I know I have missed mentioning Vidya, Natasha, Shalini and Anamika who were instrumental in my journey of blogging for trees. I know my memory will fall short of names but we will not fall short of trees. And that should never happen.

So here’s wishing my favorite community a very happy 2022. May we be surrounded by trees, flowers, leaves and greenery. May we all hold ground like trees, provide shade to on and all, accept all seasons of life and sway with happiness like branches loaded with blooms.

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on January 13, 2022. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.

If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

  1. Wishing you a Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2022 Parul. Such beautiful shot and like you, trees have become friends nowaways spending tons of time in their company, speaking to them and sharing secrets:) My writing down too and about time to get back in the groove.

  2. You have brought around a joyful community of tree lovers here, Parul. I am a bit late to join, though I scheduled the post last week itself. I was down with flu and fever. Glad to join before 2021 bid goodbye.
Hope to see you more active in your blog in 2022, Parul. I, too, wish to be more active in the blogging world in the coming days. I feel hopeful typing this. 🙂
