“We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.” – Sam Kee
My parents took trip to the mountains up North of India and sent me many pictures of their time with friends together. This one stood out. I am sure this was Mum’s idea and they had a friend help out but I love seeing them among trees. It brought me joy and even when I am writing this, I know I am smiling.
From what I know these are Sal trees and these are tall trees. They have a lot of remedial properties are these trees are native to the Indian sub continent. They can grow as tall as 50 metres (~160 feet) in height and look beautiful. Sharing these from Dehradun in India.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on June 8, 2023. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. Another tree we do not have in the United States. Your parents seem so content in the photo, and there is no better place than a forest to stand and feel contentment. Here’s my link: https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2023/05/a-quick-tribute-and-horse-chestnuts-2023.html

Love the picture and the fact that you were in their thoughts while they took it.
Incidentally, my native village, in Goa, is called Saligaon, so named for the sal trees.
