“The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own. No apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on, or blame. The gift is yours – it is an amazing journey – and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.”
– Bob Moawad
This picture just happened and happened this week. I was waiting for a ride to get back home and it was sunny. The 5PM sunny. So I chose this tree and stood under it when I felt something in my hair. I opened the camera to see if it was bird’s poop. But there was nothing. What I saw was a lovely tree that I hadn’t noticed. So I quickly turned around and got this shot. Looking up is a good thing, people.

Looking up, yes…I’ve done this too, so often and in so many places I visit. Just sitting under a tree makes me feel happy, such a presence they seem to have in our lives. I think the angle of this shot has lent its’ charm to the picture. Such a beautiful tree you’ve captured, Parul. Here’s mine. Feeling sad and resigned as I’m posting this one today:

There are several trees on the roadside in Bangalore which we happen to miss since our eyes and mind are fixed on our destination. But, it pays to look up sometimes.
I am correcting my folly today. I have posted for Thursday Tree Love. The first tree post for 2019.

Looking up into trees is something I do a lot in my photography because it’s a different angle. Different is good! It makes you think in new ways. By the way did you ever figure out what hit you? Here’s mine. https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2019/01/winter-trees-thursdaytreelove-blogboost.html
