“Growth is painful. Change is painful. But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong.”
― Mandy Hale
I spotted this tree some where on our road trip to Central India. The moment I saw this one, I loved the look of the road around it and how it stood so beautifully in the middle of a highway. This one also tells me that when it feels like you are stuck, you are not.

The quote makes a lot of sense. I wonder how do you get exactly matching quotes to go with your photos. I will applaud the road makers to not cut this tree down in order to lay a straight road, instead they went around it. Or is there a folklore about this tree due to which it had to be spared. My imaginative mind is at play.
Joining you this week.

So agree with you and your interpretation of the image. It must be a special tree of some sort for the road to be built around it. Maybe it looks amazing in full bloom. The quote really is so apt…the tree is meant to be where it is be, and if you are meant to be where you are, it’s such a wonderful feeling.

That’s a good one. May be there is a story. I wish there was some one around when I clicked and may be they would have shared? Thank you both 🙂

Maybe one day you will pass by again and some one will tell you the story of the tree. Take care, Parul 🙂

This is one of your best shots. But you are such a pro with photography, and I’ve said this before, but your captures are one notch above.
I totally love this shot. For a moment I was left spell-bound, caught in rapt attention, gazing at this beauty that stands pretty, in the middle of a road.
You sure have an eye for detail. Thanks for teaching me photography through your unique ways, Parul.
Had saved this picture from last month to link up. But blogging had taken such a back seat, that could not. But I’m back, linking up with your lovely link party.

An unusual site and I hope that tree’s roots don’t buckle the road. I like how someone took care and decided to preserve that tree. May it prosper for a long time to come. Here’s mine: https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2019/01/the-road-thursdaytreelove-blogboost.html

I liked the way you clicked this tree especially the way its standing right in the middle of the road; to me it gives a feeling of calm and serenity despite being placed in the middle of the street… something to learn despite the noises around… i need to learn to be calm and mindful in order to focus:) like it or not despite the pain we are expected to change and grow for our own well being:) here’s my link: http://livealifeofgratitude.blogspot.com/2019/01/tree-love-50.html

Ooooh, how I love this tree! I’m so happy that nature was not completely destroyed for the sake of a road. Here’s my offering for today: https://iamchandralynn.com/2019/01/24/thursdaytreelove-abstract-reflection/

Parul, this capture is a work of art. I cannot express in words how beautiful it is. The tree is lovely and forlorn but also strong and stubborn. It stood strongly in the middle and the road had to bend its way. It is almost like a guardian of the road.

This is beautiful! I love how it’s right in the middle of the road and the road has to almost adjust for it. It’s alone yet strong. Love the layers in this picture
