“The purpose of life is to . . . matter; to feel it has made some difference that we have lived at all.”
– Leo Rosten
Late last year, I went on a trail walk up the Nandi Hills with my team. While everyone was interested in hiking up, my eyes were set on the trees. These trees were beautiful with a smooth trunk and were tall. Really tall. The weather was cold and it was foggy so when I looked up, I felt I was in some other world. The one that is mysterious like we all know it really is but don’t want to believe.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature on this blog hosted on 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next edition will be live on March 14, 2019. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. What a wonderfully staight and massive bole this tree has!!! Must be really old considering its height! Wow! Here is my tree. https://yenforblue.blogspot.com/2019/02/arrows-thursdaytreelove.html?m=1

Truly a magnificent treasure! I just noticed the person on the left showing the tree’s majesty. My sycamore wanted me to write a poem about her: https://joannaoftheforest.wordpress.com/2019/02/28/thursday-tree-love-sycamore-survivor/

Very thought provoking and colossal tree Parul! The first thing i remembered was “sky is the limit”! Persistence and positive attitude is all it requires to reach the skies of success just like that tree.
I somehow made a last minute entry as the tree love kept calling me strongly to spread the joy – https://anjus.home.blog/2019/02/28/winter-wait/

The fog and the mist always add a bit of mysterious beauty to the surroundings. This tall tree in the pic making its way through the fog brings to my mind the picture of Jack’s beanstalk. I will keep the quote for myself today because I am being delusional about the whole blogging stuff as I am constantly reminded (passively) I am not doing enough or being enough. I know I will get over it. I will join you next Thursday and drop in my link then.

I know what you mean about the picture. Even in color, the fog made it very different and like a mystery up there.
On the quote and when I think of blogging, you know I am also not always sure. I want to do better but I can’t. One day it’s about time and some times the fact that I think I don’t have good stuff to share. I end up not writing. Knowing that I have to. We should become each other’s accountability partner. Maybe that will work. 🙂
