How do you get the time to blog?

There are a few questions that I am frequently asked.

When do you blog?

Do you have a specific time to write?

What topics do you write about?

I won’t get into why I blog. You all know that but let me tell you a few things I strongly believe in.

  • If you like doing something, you will always find the time to do it. So those who say that they love painting but can’t find the time to pursue, is an excuse. That’s something you can work on. We all have 24 hours in a day and it is possible to pursue that one thing you love.
  • I blog when I get time. You can also do that.  Be kind to yourself and do when it works best. Shun the idiot box, don’t go over the Facebook feed and you will get some time on your hand. Use that time to do that one thing you always wanted to.
  • Live ‘your’ life. Only you have control over your life and no one else. So make the best of it. This is all you have got.
  • Find the fun in doing what you do. The moment you start enjoying what you do, you will come back to it. That thing won’t be a chore or a job anymore. It will be something you love.

Over the last few months, I have started clicking portraits of people. These are mostly when I travel or at places where it is possible. I was shy initially but I enjoyed looking into how each face tells a story. There is always fun in clicking people and most of who I have met, have been kind.

This one was one such click. These two ladies wanted me to click them together and I loved it too.

I am participating in the Write Tribe Festival of words and today is Day 2 of the challenge that encourages you to #writebravely. I also want to wish Mel of Stirrup Queens a happy 12th Blogoversary and for the 200th microblog today. Way to go!

  1. That’s a lovely photo! And regarding reasons for blogging, these change over time. At least that is what I’ve noticed concerning me.

  5. I agree with you partly that if you love something, you will find ways. But there are some unfortunate ones as well. Either they ignore voices inside their head or or are not resourceful enough. I guess what really pulls one ahead is the joy of doing that activity. I’m happy that you chose to write about it, Parul. 🙂
