#ThursdayTreeLove – 106

With freedom, books, flowers, and the moon, who could not be happy? – Oscar Wilde

That quote above speaks to me in more than one way. If you have been here, you know how much I love all the things that Oscar Wilde called out above.

Last Saturday I took a break from swimming and decided to join VT for a morning walk to our neighborhood green haven. While we were on the way, VT told me he wanted to show me something and that was when I spotted what he meant. These lined blooming Pink Tabebuia Rosea (Pink Poui) trees made me smile. These are the times I don’t think of gifts that he doesn’t give me but instead gives me these moments that he knows I will love and cherish. He graciously agreed that pictures with him will be okay so here I am with (almost) all the shots I got that day. And hey! these blooming trees in my city are in every nook and corner. The city is sure a pink wonderland. Happiness indeed, isn’t it?

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on April 8, 2021. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.

If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. I will link your posts on my blog in the next edition and spread some love. Let’s come together to appreciate the beautiful nature around us.

    1. Thank you, JoAnna. These trees were in an Agricultural university campus and there the trees are all tagged and numbered. I think it’s a way to track their health, fruits, care etc. I see that in other Indian universities too.

  1. Oh, these shots are just what I needed to see after the rainy weather here over the past couple of days! That’s one of my favorite Wilde quotes too, and it’s perfect for your post today. I feel much the same way when my husband does things like that – actions speak louder than words (and gifts) sometimes!

Here’s my contribution, and I’m actually remembering to share it on the actual day!

  2. Gosh! Here’s another reason to love Bangalore and that’s strange considering I’ve barely been there ever :-). I’ve been seeing these pink blooms all over twitter. Your shots are absolutely beautiful.
