“In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: It goes on.” ― Robert Frost
The last week of last year was light at work. Many folks were out on vacations and since I work for a US organisation, my peers on the other side too were celebrating the holidays. So I made the most of the time I had and stayed at home to rest and do things I enjoy. Along with a friend of mine, we visited a crafts exhibition in Bangalore. This exhibition has many artisans from all over India and the stuff they sold was really good and unique. I also ended up buying a few things. Towards the end of our day when we were grabbing a bite, I noticed that a vendor from up North of India had all his ceramics displayed under this huge tree. I picked up two bowls and then admired the display from afar. Got this picture to give you all a glimpse.
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on February 23, 2023. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog, tell me where did you spot the tree and link it back to this post.
If you don’t see the pingback, please leave a link to your post in my comments section. Please make sure that your post’s link is showing up on this latest edition. That was one massive tree, and one thing I noticed was that the tree looked to be partially dormant. I would have enjoyed that artisan event, too. For my post, it’s time for snow, and thinking about how trees in my cold climate adapt to survive – and a friendly snow competition between cities. https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2023/01/the-golden-snowball-thursdaytreelove.html

I zoom out to get a wider angle and maybe that’s why the tree looked dormant. I am hearing about the snowstorm there and hope the Spring comes soon. Thanks for joining, Alana and hope to see you back tomorrow.

This tree, spreading branches over the artisans, seems to be part of the celebration. Life does go on in one form or another. Here’s my latest tree love post about pine trees: https://joannaoftheforest.wordpress.com/2023/01/26/thursday-tree-love-between-the-pines/

I wish I knew where this was on. Would have loved to visit such an artistic display of crafts. Well, hopefully, next time. But, I’m glad you went, clicked and shared a shot with the rest of us. That tree certainly makes its presence prominent and the wares all around it feels so lovely and inspiring.
Here’s my post for this fortnight—https://mysoultalks.com/the-tree-and-me-thursdaytreelove-2023-2/.
Will definitely stop by the other links you shared, Parul. So many tree pics to view…I’m happily looking forward to them all.

I’m glad you had a restful start to the year, Parul. I love craft exhibitions and am reminded that I haven’t been to one in a long time. Must remedy that.
