“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us. And the world will live as one.”
― John Lennon
This tree is from Mawlynnong. A small village in Meghalaya known for being Asia’s cleanest village. We spent a night in Mawlynnong when we were on our road trip to Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya in 2018. You have to visit this village to believe how 500 villagers take care of their little home. What we want to treasure, we must protect. Isn’t it?
Thursday Tree love is a photo feature hosted on this blog on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. The next edition will go live on April 23 2020. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to this post.

Wow thats an incredible feat and feels very heartening to hear. The tree looks like its standing guard over the pond. Indeed we all must learn to treasure and preserve that we have been given by mother nature so generously. This is the only Planet we have and we really need to start looking after it.

The tree seems to tower over the others yet seems to be part of the group.. in harmony … Amid this lockdown, people are noticing trees, birds and the sky.. A harsh way to notice nature.. but I hope this awakens an interest in conserving, protecting it.. Here is my tree https://yenforblue.blogspot.com/2020/04/another-use-thursdaytreelove.html

Our trees do stand guard over us, in their own ways, thinking their own thoughts. We must dream for a better world. We can’t survive otherwise. Here is my tree: https://ramblinwitham.blogspot.com/2020/04/home-thursdaytreelove-atozchallenge.html

Yes! We must protect the treasures of nature. Mawlynnong is showing us the way. What a wonderful quote from John Lennon. It makes me think of the tree dreaming over the pond. Here’s my offering: https://joannaoftheforest.wordpress.com/2020/04/09/thursday-tree-love-gifts-on-the-sidewalk/
